In John McGahern's short story Gold Watch, the protagonist is a migrant. A few paragraphs describing his annual trip home to help save the hay provide a starting point for this meditation on the between-ness of the migrant - always living between two places.

the migrant/landscape was developed with the support of The Dock, Carrick On Shannon, for Landscape '08.
