While on residency at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, I made a trip across Pennsylvania to try to find some of the locations used in the movie adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's book
The Road. I didn't find the tunnel through the mountains I was looking for, but I did encounter the strange space of the town of
Breezewood, PA. Later in the year, I made a return trip and as I approached Breezewood, I began to read aloud any text I could see, as I saw it.
Approaching Breezewood was included in the group show 'HaVE A LoOk! HAve a Look!', FromContent, London, UK.
(7
May—11 July 2010).
The recording, which was 'broadcast' on-line the first weekend of the show, is still available on the
FormContent website
My participation in 'HaVE A LoOk! HAve a Look!' was co-curated by Chris Fite-Wassilak and Kate McLarnon.
Approaching Breezewood was included in
Harboring tone and place at CCS Bard Galleries, Bard University, USA,
